CDC tracks AIDS information on seven racial and ethnic groups:
American Indian/Alaska Native; Asian; Black/African American; Hispanic/Latino; Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander; White and Multiple Races.
In 2008, the estimated number of AIDS diagnoses in the 50 states and the District of Columbia, by race or ethnicity was as follows:
